Kidding Pen Complete

Stef finished the kidding pen today. I had a scare that Holly was in labor when he was gone last week so we figured we better get it done. We fenced in the back of our shed and cut a hole in the shed. Then made a nice little cubby hole for the new mama and baby.

Wow!#s 3,4,and 5

Let one or two days go by and find a whole new ranch! It seems that it takes something like mental energy to put something like this in motionn and even more to maintain it. I would like to hear what circumstances were when this project started rolling, and how you thought about it. I've been thinking a lot about Steven Hawking and the spirit and energy that drive thru his barriers. have the boys had any of his books?
About stinging nettles; how are they prepared as human food. I know, very carefully, but seriously...

For a while Stef has been saying I need a hobby, mostly so I leave him alone about moving to South America. Not really sure what started the whole thing. I know we got the dairy goats first and it has been going from there. We have always talked about becoming self sufficient and this is some sort of begining for us. As for Stephen Hawkings, the boys don't have any of his books, though I think Stef does, but we have watched programs with him with the boys.

For the stinging nettles, Chickenista says she puts the leaves on pizza among lots of other stuff. She said she is going to post a comment on here tomorrow. Maybe she will share some of her delicacies with us!
