Chicks and Tin

Craigslist rocks! We finally found some tin for the barn!

Stef starts work on it today if it doesn't rain. I can't wait for a barn!

Also got 20 more chicks at a great price from Craigslist. They are Black Australorps and Buff Orpingtons. They are good for egg production as well as meat. They will lay brown eggs.

I always need a chicken plucker! Who doesn't? Yep, hens for eggs and roosters for meat. We have 28 chickens now. How many do you think will be hens? Last time we did chickens we had 17. Only 5 ended up being hens!!! How is that possible?

Oh, by the way, Gpa, the Buff Orpingtons probably have some Rhode Island Red in them. And I'm not sure about the Plymouth Rock, but I've been trying to find some Barred Rocks and can't find them.

Love you guys!
